Pempek Cawan Putih in Jakarta

Most of my friends will mention Cawan Putih if I ask about the recommended pempek in town. It wasn't hard to spot the restaurant, they have a big red sign next to a small print shop. Anyway, I'm not a fan of fish soup in general but they served a bowl of rich flavored ikan patin soup. Pempek was awesome as expected.

Pempek is great, but Sup Ikan Patin is amazing! Comfort for the tummy, located in the central of culinary road in Central Jakarta, Sabang. The price is shockingly cheap. Will definitely come to this place again 🤗

Traditional Sumatranese restaurant. Not only serves pempek, it has patin (freshwater fish) soup as well.

Their pempek is good. We came at night. Unfortunately, some menu are out of stock so i couldn't try much. The place is clean calm inside supported by air conditioner.

The location is a bit secluded but the dining room is quite large, and the pempek is really good and they have this sour and spicy soup which for me is a must try dish here. I recommend their kulit pempek

I always go here whenever I have a chance while wandering around Central Jakarta: Sabang-Monas-Thamrin. Their pempek is delicious and soft-bite and I also happy to taste their Es Kacang Merah: SUPER ENAK.

The place is clean, the pempek is good, averaged prices, but I dont really like the beverages, the juice were too watery and bland.

Located in KH Wahid Hasyim (ak Sabang) street. Famous among local, especialy for Palembang cuisine. My favorites are patin "pindang" (sour & spicy soup) and fish skin "mpek-mpek" (fish cake).The price is reasonable for the food quality and taste.

A bit hot inside. But the food was good.

The place in one of the small shop at Jalan Sabang, across BSM small street and Duta Suara; rather quiet. Not too many people dined in the restaurant.We take away Kapal selam, kulit, adaan, and keriting, one each to be fried for the next day.The pempek quite tender, taste good, but the kuah cuko were not as expected.The price is expensive in our opinion and for the general taste still below our fav.Pempek restaurant located at the iconic Cinema complex in Central Jakarta.We will not going to eat this pempek again in the future. Once is enough.

Visit here 30 minutes before noon. Otherwise you will not gotten any seat.

Pempek is enough. Tekwan nothing special.Price is expensive for pempek small.Only for alternative if you want to eat pempek in center city.

I come here for Pindang. The Pindang is very fresh and rich in taste

Overall Good Food especially its Pindang..Im coming from South Sumatra my self, For me its very hard to find a place in Jakarta which can offers the same delicacies as in Palembang for Pempek and Pindang. This place is spot on.

The best pempek with affordable price. Pindang patin (fish soup), kapal selam pempek and red peanut ice are my favorite dishs here.

Best pempek in Capital Jakarta. All the pempek is good, specially the cuko (pempek sauce). And don't forget to try original South Sumatra cuisine "Pindang Iga"

Avarage price but great taste

Try tekwan and pempek kapal selam. Traditional food of palembang. Tekwan is a combination of tuna meatball combine with umami tasted soup and white noodle.

Good food & affordable price...love their pempek & red bean ice

The "pempek" and the sauce tastes good but the size of the pempek is too tiny. I recommend to order "kapal selam" rather than buying the "adaan" or "lenjer" becaude the size is not standardized. If you are lucky enough, you will get bigger "pempek". Anyway, I will come back again.

Good food

They serve Palembang food such as Pempek & Pindang Patin with decent quality however the taste is overrated. Compared to other pempek in town it’s noticeably unremarkable I must say. The texture of their pempek is somehow watery & quality of fish used is also a problem resulting in fishy aroma. The patin fish had strong smell too, fortunately the soup was okay though it wasn’t as tasty as expected. Tried the Tekwan too but again nothing special. Located in the busy street of Sabang they’re never short of customers especially during lunch time as the price is also quite affordable.

Price point is good. Food tasted so-so for me personally (i tried the tekwan). I visited around dinner time but it wasn’t packed.
